Dr. Mary Kilcoyne

Dr. Mary Kilcoyne

Dr Mary Kilcoyme graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1998. She completed specialist training in general practice on the South East training scheme. She has a special interest in mental health and works with the child and adolescent mental health services in Wexford. She also has a special interest in family planning and is competent in the fitting of LARCs – Long acting reversible contraceptives. She also has a special interest in womens health, diabetic management and end of life care.

Dr. Siobhan Murphy

Dr. Siobhan Murphy

Dr Siobhan Murphy is a Waterford native. She graduated from UCC in 2005 after which she completed a two year scheme in general hospital medicine before training as a GP on the SE GP training scheme.

She has a masters in sport and exercise medicine with a special interest in management of chronic diseases including diabetes and hypertension. She is trained in the fitting of long acting reversible contraceptives and has an interest in management of menopausal symptoms and well woman care. She is enthusiastic about preventative medicine and encourages well woman and well man checks.

Dr Anne O Loughlin

Dr. Anne O Loughlin

Dr Anne O Loughlin studied medicine in UCD graduating in 1999 and qualified as a GP in 2005. She has a special interest in dermatology. She has completed the diploma in practical dermatology through Cardiff University and also is trained in dermoscopy ( examination of moles under microscopic light). She has a diploma in child health and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) As well as working at Murphy Medical, she is involved in teaching paediatrics to undergraduate medical students and works part time in the breast clinic in UHW. Her areas of special interest include dermatology, paediatrics, travel medicine and womens health.

Dr. Caroline Kelly

Dr. Caroline Kelly

Dr Caroline Kelly, originally from Waterford graduated from Medicine, University College Dublin in 2006. She has gained experience working in a wide variety of hospital specialties. Caroline completed her GP training in London and worked as a general practitioner in London and Kent before returning to Waterford in 2017. She has diplomas in child health, clinical psychiatry, and a diploma in sexual and reproductive health. She has a keen interest in women's health, child health, and preventative medicine.

Marie Heylin

Practice Nurse

Marie Heylin

Marie has been the practice nurse at the surgery for the last 18 years and as such has vast experience in all aspects of primary care. She has special interests in diabetic care and palliative care. Marie provides phlebotomy services, vaccination services, wound managment and dressings. She performs ECG, ear syringing, 24 bp monitor applications and a myriad of other services.

Vanessa Foran

Receptionist

Vanessa Foran

Vaneesa is also one of our receptionists. She has been with the surgery eleven years and like Triona is very familiar with all aspects of the practice. They run the office efficiently and are friendly and helpful

The first group for vaccination are those over 85 yrs (Level 1) and only when this group has been vaccinated can we move to the next group (Level 2) and so on until vaccinations are completed for all groups.
